Embrace the tranquillity of the North York Moors: Your guide to Mindful Month 2024

As we enter the cooler seasons and the weather changes, it is important for us to make the most of the beautiful surroundings here in the North York Moors National Park. Mindful Month takes place every September, offering visitors the opportunity to relax, unwind and recharge whilst surrounded by the beauty of the National Park they are in.

Nature has a calming effect on the brain, meaning that whether you wish to carry out activities outdoors or simply stop for a moment and take a relaxing trip, we hope that you will see a positive impact on your mental health from taking part in our Mindful Month.

Our month-long programme includes events to help you relax and rewind, from sound meditation sessions with Nurturing Rituals, wild saunas at the coast with Whitby Wellbeing, harvest moon firelight yoga with Happy Seal Yoga to wild foraging and cooking with Katy Doman, breathwork journeys to sooth the mind and soul with Breathe with Naomi, autumnal wreath making workshops with House of Foliage and much more.

If your idea of relaxing is to start a new adventure, why not join us on an immersive farmyard cheese making session with Abbey Farm Cottage, explore serenity goat yoga with Kismet Yoga in Rosedale, or peddle with a purpose at our Minds & Miles cycling event which has been created to help you slow down, look up and enjoy the North York Moors National Park by bike during Mindful Month.

As the days grow shorter and the evenings cooler, let September be a time to reconnect with yourself and the world around you.
