WalkFest 2024: Start your Cleveland Way adventure

Get your walking boots on and enjoy a stomp around the countryside this National Walking month. Join us for this year’s WalkFest on Saturday 25 to Monday 27 May. Complete the first three sections of this spectacular National Trail before the weekend’s over. A worthy boast when someone asks about your bank holiday!

Plus, for the first time ever, our guided walks will continue on the Cleveland Way to complete all 109 miles from Helmsley to Filey. You could have a National Trail under your belt within 7 weeks. An accomplishment to be proud of.

Let’s dive briefly into the WalkFest plan. Saturday starts at Helmsley, taking in the fascinating ruins of Rievaulx Abbey and finishes at the dramatic escarpment of Sutton Bank. Sunday’s stomp of 11.5 miles boasts extensive views along the Hambleton hills and ends in the pretty village of Osmotherley. Monday’s walk isn’t for the faint-hearted! A strenuous route over five moors but one in which you’ll be duly rewarded.

One of the fantastic things about WalkFest is that we take the hassle out of planning. Get yourself to the arrival location and we’ll transport you back to the start.

As with every guided walk, booking is essential. Numbers are particularly limited for WalkFest so don’t delay. There is a small charge of £8 to cover the transport provided. Get all the walk details and book your place by visiting our Events page.
