Lesley was born in Glasgow, 1958.
She is inspired by wild, remote places and bountiful blossoming in her garden. Her florals and landscapes are notable for their colour, atmosphere and expressive marks. Often the paintings are as much about her feelings as they are about the subject.
Lesley has exhibited in The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Mall Galleries and was a winner of The Artist Magazine Award in 2016. She paints from both her home and city studios in York.
